Terms of Use
These Terms of Use govern access to and use of Directra, including the Directra website, desktop application, AI pre-production tools, subscription plans, and related services.
Effective date: August 19, 2026
1. Acceptance of These Terms
By creating an account, purchasing a plan, or using Directra, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the service. You must be legally capable of entering into this agreement in your jurisdiction or have any authorization required by applicable law.
2. The Directra Service
Directra is a desktop AI pre-production application for filmmakers and AI creators. Current features may include screenplay development, character and location organization, scene and shot breakdown, storyboard planning, production-prompt generation, AI-assisted local media sorting, and related project-management functionality.
Directra does not currently provide final image or video generation as part of the released product scope. Features may evolve as the service is developed.
3. Accounts
You are responsible for providing accurate account information, protecting your credentials, and all activity performed through your account. You must promptly contact us if you believe your account has been compromised.
4. Plans, Pricing and AI Credits
Directra currently offers the following monthly plans:
- Free: $0 per month, including 10 AI credits per month.
- Creator: $15 per month, including 300 AI credits per month.
- Pro: $30 per month, including 800 AI credits per month.
AI credits are units used for eligible AI-powered operations inside Directra. Different AI actions may consume different amounts of credits. Current credit costs and plan limits may be displayed in the application or product documentation. We may change future plan features, credit allowances, or pricing by providing appropriate notice where required by law. Changes do not retroactively alter amounts already paid for a completed billing period.
5. Subscriptions and Billing
Creator and Pro are recurring monthly subscriptions. Paid checkout and subscription billing are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the merchant of record for purchases processed through its platform. Payment, tax, invoice, refund, chargeback, and related transaction handling may therefore also be subject to Lemon Squeezy's customer-facing terms and policies.
By purchasing a recurring plan, you authorize recurring charges according to the plan shown at checkout until the subscription is cancelled or otherwise ends.
6. Cancellation
You may cancel future subscription renewals through the available billing-management flow or by contacting support when appropriate. When a Lemon Squeezy subscription is cancelled during a paid billing period, it normally remains valid through the end of that current billing period and then expires, unless it is resumed or applicable law requires a different result.
Cancellation stops future renewals; it does not itself guarantee a refund for a period already purchased. Refund requests are handled in accordance with applicable law and the payment/refund rules governing the transaction.
7. User Content and Ownership
You retain ownership of the original ideas, scripts, project materials, images, videos, and other content you provide to Directra, subject to any rights belonging to third parties. You grant Directra the limited permission necessary to process that content solely to operate the features you request, maintain your projects, provide support, secure the service, and comply with law.
Original images and videos imported for local organization are intended to remain on your computer. When you request AI-assisted sorting, reduced previews or video keyframes may be processed by an AI provider as described in the Privacy Policy.
8. AI-Generated Outputs
AI outputs may include scripts, breakdowns, descriptions, prompts, classifications, or other text. AI systems are probabilistic and may generate inaccurate, incomplete, inappropriate, or non-unique results. You are responsible for reviewing outputs and deciding whether they are suitable for your intended use.
Directra does not guarantee that an AI output is unique, free of third-party rights, factually accurate, or suitable for a particular legal, commercial, production, or creative purpose. Your ability to use an output may also depend on applicable law and the terms of the relevant AI service provider.
9. Acceptable Use
You may not use Directra to:
- violate applicable law or the rights of another person;
- upload or process content you are not authorized to use;
- attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts, infrastructure, databases, or APIs;
- circumvent plan limits, AI-credit controls, authentication, or security mechanisms;
- introduce malware, intentionally disrupt the service, or abuse automated interfaces;
- resell access to Directra as your own service without written permission; or
- use the service in a way that exposes Directra or its providers to unlawful or prohibited activity.
10. Directra Intellectual Property
Directra's software, interface, branding, design, source code, documentation, and other service materials are owned by or licensed to the operator of Directra and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service for its intended purpose; they do not transfer ownership of Directra itself.
11. Third-Party Services
Directra depends on third-party services, including Supabase for authentication and backend functionality, Lemon Squeezy for billing, Vercel for website hosting, and AI providers for requested AI processing. Availability or functionality can be affected by those providers, and their separate terms and policies may apply to their services.
12. Service Availability and Changes
We aim to provide a reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability. We may maintain, modify, add, remove, or replace features when reasonably necessary for security, reliability, product development, provider changes, or legal compliance.
13. Suspension and Termination
We may restrict or terminate access where reasonably necessary because of material breach of these Terms, fraud, abuse, security risk, unlawful activity, non-payment, or requirements imposed by a service provider or applicable law. Where practical and legally appropriate, we will attempt to provide notice.
14. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Directra is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not warrant that AI outputs will be accurate, that every feature will meet every production requirement, or that the service will operate without interruption.
Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.
15. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Directra will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or purely economic losses arising from use of or inability to use the service, including lost production opportunities, lost profits, or losses caused by reliance on AI outputs. Any limitation in these Terms applies only to the extent permitted by mandatory law.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms as Directra changes. If a change materially affects existing users, we will provide notice in a reasonable manner where required. Continued use after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law.
