Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Directra handles information when you use our website, desktop application, AI pre-production features, subscriptions, and related services.
Effective date: August 19, 2026
1. About Directra
Directra is a desktop AI pre-production application for filmmakers and AI creators. It helps users develop screenplays, organize characters and locations, break scenes into cinematic shots, prepare production prompts, and organize local production media.
For privacy questions or requests, contact directra.support@gmail.com.
2. Information We Process
Account and authentication information
When you create or use an account, we may process information such as your email address, user identifier, authentication status, and technical account metadata required to operate your account. Authentication and backend account services are provided through Supabase.
Project and pre-production information
We process information you choose to add to Directra, including ideas, screenplay text and versions, scene data, characters, locations, storyboard and shot descriptions, production prompts, project organization data, and related settings.
AI requests and outputs
When you use an AI feature, relevant text or other input needed for that feature may be sent to third-party AI service providers for processing. The resulting text outputs may be stored with your Directra project when required to provide the service.
Local images and videos
Original images and videos imported into Directra are intended to remain on your local computer and are not stored by Directra in Supabase cloud storage. If you choose AI-assisted media sorting, Directra may create reduced image previews or selected video keyframes and send those limited representations, together with relevant project context, to an AI service for analysis. Local file paths and media metadata may be stored in the project database so Directra can organize your local files.
Subscription and billing information
Paid subscriptions are processed through Lemon Squeezy. Directra may receive and store billing-related metadata needed to manage access, such as your customer or subscription identifier, selected plan, subscription status, billing period dates, and payment-event status. Directra does not need to store your full payment-card details.
Technical and service information
We may process technical information necessary to secure, operate, troubleshoot, and improve the service, such as request logs, timestamps, error information, feature usage, and AI-credit usage.
3. How We Use Information
- to create and authenticate user accounts;
- to provide project, screenplay, character, location, scene, shot, prompt, and media-organization features;
- to perform AI requests initiated by the user;
- to manage plans, subscription status, and AI-credit access;
- to secure the service, prevent abuse, diagnose errors, and maintain reliability;
- to respond to support, privacy, and account requests; and
- to comply with applicable legal obligations.
4. Third-Party Service Providers
Directra relies on third-party providers to operate parts of the service. These currently include Supabase for authentication, database and backend functionality, Lemon Squeezy for subscription checkout and billing, Vercel for the public Directra website, and third-party AI providers when you request AI-powered processing.
These providers may process information under their own terms and privacy policies. Payment transactions completed through Lemon Squeezy are handled through Lemon Squeezy's checkout and payment infrastructure.
5. AI Processing
AI processing occurs when you ask Directra to perform an AI-powered task. We aim to send only the information reasonably required to complete the requested operation. AI systems can produce inaccurate or unexpected outputs, so users should review outputs before relying on them in production or commercial work.
6. Data Storage and Retention
Cloud project and account information may be stored for as long as your account is active or as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain security, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and comply with legal obligations. Retention periods can differ depending on the type of information and the systems involved.
Original local media remains under your control on your device. Deleting a Directra account or project does not automatically delete records independently maintained by third-party payment providers where those providers are required to retain transaction records.
7. Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the service. No internet-connected service can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for protecting your account credentials and the security of the device on which your local Directra project files are stored.
8. Your Choices and Rights
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of certain personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. You may also request account-related assistance by contacting directra.support@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.
9. International Processing
Directra's service providers may operate infrastructure in multiple countries. As a result, information may be processed in countries other than the one where you live, subject to the safeguards and legal mechanisms used by the relevant service provider and applicable law.
10. Children
Directra is intended for users who are legally able to enter into an agreement for the service in their jurisdiction. We do not knowingly design the paid service for children who cannot legally enter such an agreement without appropriate authorization.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the product, providers, or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when a revised policy is published.
